Why Nashville?
"They call it Music City for a reason. It’s the one of the best locations to network, work with, and learn from some of the best musicians, songwriters, producers and music professionals in the industry."
What is your favorite thing to do in Nashville?
"I like going to showcases and release parties or things of that nature. Showing support to my fellow up and coming artists is important to me. We have to lift each other up and help each other anyway we can. We’re all chasing the same dream."
When did you realize being a singer and songwriter would lead the path to your future?
"I have always known in the back of my mind that I wanted to pursue a musical career. When I was in Kindergarten, my parents got a call from my teacher. She sounded concerned and told them that I would walk around the playground talking to myself. Funny thing is, I wasn’t talking to myself – I was singing songs that I would make up about my teacher because I had a crush on her. As I grew up, I played music in Michigan and then eventually made the move to Nashville."
What is your favorite part of your occupation?
"The fans. I love how the music I create can potentially move someone, whether it’s in their hearts or on the dance floor."
What are you currently working on and have planned for the year ahead?
"Definitely expect more music and touring. I’m about to release acoustic versions of all my currently released singles along with videos. Following that my next single is a personal song titled “boy meets girl” that is about my family’s story and the birth of our son."

What advice would you have for someone pursuing a similar path?
"The best advice I could give to someone pursuing this path is to be humble, be nice, be patient, and work hard. It sounds simple, but you should always try to be nice to everyone you meet because you don’t know what that person could be going through. Being patient is extremely important. This is a lot of work and it doesn’t happen overnight. I’ve been in Nashville 5 years and I have learned that you have to stick with it, and enjoy the journey. Whenever anything happens that is cool and your on a high – don’t let it go to your head because what goes up must come down and it’s those low times where you need to stay strong and work even harder."
What is your favorite city you have visited on the road and what about it makes it special to you?
"My hometown Bay City, Michigan. It’s where my biggest fans are. They always show up, show so much love and support for my music."
What is your most memorable Team Summer memory?
"Torch Lake in Michigan on the 4th of July. Hundreds of people come to party, tie their boats up, and rock American colors to celebrate this great country’s independence."
What part of your JOURNEY gives you continuous purpose and keeps you in check?
"My son and his mama keep me going. I want to provide for my family and give them a great life. Being surrounded by so many talented people in Nashville also keeps me in check and motivates me to keep perfecting my craft."
How do you breakdown a decision on taking a RISK that has an unknown result?
"I know it’s cliche to say you only live once, but we really do. Take that leap of faith. As long as your decisions aren’t hurting someone and you’re willing to learn from your mistakes you have nothing to lose."
What does the word TRUE mean to you?
"Always be honest to yourself, who you are as a person. Always be willing to admit your flaws and be willing to work on them if they are negatively affecting your life or others."
